Athens, Texas, June 4 2008—Once upon a time wealthy families owned vast tracts of ranch land across Texas, but those days are coming to an end. Now one of those ranches, which consisted of 2,150 acres of rolling green hills surrounding a 328-acre, crystal clear lake is now to be sold in 1-5 acre parcels. The ranch, which has been renamed Scenic Ridge at Water’s Edge Ranch, offers homesites with dockable lake access and lake views within a gated community, where once only a single family had access to this beautiful site. Under its previous owners, the ranch was a wildlife and fishing paradise, now the site has been enhanced with a wildlife preserve containing zebra and elk, 25 miles of riding trails, and fish specially tended by a biologist in the natural lake.
In preparation for the grand opening of the community, Water’s Edge Ranch/Texas Land & Lakes is offering a $15,000 discount and no closing costs to those who attend the event. "I would like you to come down here, stand where I am standing and see what I see, and see if you don't fall in love with Scenic Ridge," says Heath Askew. The event will be held at Scenic Ridge located on Highway 175 in Athens. For more information, call 877-941-5263 or go to LiveScenicRidge.com.

Water's Edge Ranch highlights water sports on a pristine lake, fishing, an RV area complete with storage, twenty-five miles of riding trails, a covered arena for riding, posh community pool with pavilion, private boat ramp, and a boat slip available for purchase with the off water property.
